Scott Pitts's passion for photography started while he was attending theater school at Long Beach State, but he didn't consider photography as a career until years later. After working almost every conceivable production job, from production assistant to associate producer, from actor to set coordinator, Scott received a camera for his birthday from his then-girlfriend-now-wife. His passion was reignited, and a new career was born.

Music has always been Scott's first love, and as a bassist, guitarist, and vocalist, he has played in numerous bands, recorded and produced several LP's, and gigged at virtually every venue in the Greater Los Angeles area. Scott's vast experiences as a musician illuminate his photographs of live bands. His innate musical sensibilities give him the edge to know when to anticipate a great shot.

As a new father, Scott is also inspired by photographing families and children in their natural environment, and he finds great joy in capturing the vast beauty of the earth, whether it's an afternoon at the botanical gardens, the beaches of Cape Cod, the unseen, gritty beauty of Los Angeles, or the unending and stark prairies of North Dakota.
